Welcome to the E-Wrestling world and more importantly, to the Net World Order. If you are already familiar with how fantasy wrestling works, you may want to skip over the next few lines. Now for those of you who have just come across E-Wrestling, how about a quick little run down of how this thing works?
An E-Fed is actually run much like an actual wrestling promotion is. The big difference is that our members don't climb into the ring and beat the living hell out of each other. Instead, our members enter the Role Play Board and talk trash to and about their opponents or anyone else they feel like giving a verbal ass kicking to.
In most cases, your level of success in E-Wrestling is based on your ability and your creativeness in trash talking your opponent. Just as there are wrestlers in the WWE and TNA that can get the crowd going (John Cena, JBL, Triple H, Chris Jericho, Raven, etc.), you must possess this same ability. If you can write a Ric Flair-esque Role Play you will beat an opponent who produces a Chris Benoit-esque Role Play.
The Net World Order runs only one event a week (Thursday Night Overdrive) as well as a montly Pay Per View style event. Once matches are set, either by the CEO, through challenges in a Role Play or by request, the wrestlers will being roleplaying. Come the day of the event, the CEO will sift through all of the RPs for the card and determine the winners and losers. Some E-Feds take into account only the length of a Role Play. We here at the Net World Order prefer a combonation of quality and quantity. A 300 line Role Play that starts out "I'm going to kick and punch and beat you silly" and repeats the same thing a few hundred times won't get you anywhere in the NWO. Once the NWO CEO has determined winners and losers, he will write out the results complete with play-by-play of the matches themselves as well as Announcer Commentary, backstage incidents and superstar interviews, all meant to personalize the results for our members.
Now that you have gotten to know a little bit about the E-Wrestling world in general, let's get to know a bit about the Net World Order and what sets us apart from all the rest.
The origins of the Net World Order date back to the late 1990s, most likely in late 1997 or early 1998. The NWO ran strong until mid 2001 thanks to dedicared Presidents and members. From the original NWO President Jordan O'Neil all the way to the most controversial man in Net World Order history, Shawn Hall.
A whole lot of things may have changed since those days, but one thing has stayed the same, the NWO Commitment To Excellence. Our mission is to provide the top talent with the very best platform to showcase their skills. Through making the Net World Order as realistic as possible, we hope to accomplish that mission.
We provide a monthly calendar of events that lists the date and location of Net World Order House Shows, edditions of Thursday Night Overdrive and a monthly Pay Per View. You will not Role Play for the house shows, but you can use their locations as a base for your RPs.
As well as the calendar, we have a number of request forms.
Interview:
You can request an interview on the results of Overdrive or a Pay Per View. This option is great to further develop your character and advance your angles. While writing an interview does NOT count as a Role Play, it may make a touch decision about the winner of your match just a little bit easier. You may only submit 1 interview request per show.
Backstage Attack:
Requesting a backstage attack is a great way to start or advance your angle. You want your wrestler to attack a rival in the locker room? Go for it! You wanna use a chair? Not a problem. Just remember, just becuase you request an attack doesn't mean that it is going to happen.
Interfere:
Just like a backstage attack, you can request to interfere in someone's match. Wanna run in and cost someone their match? Well I'm sure they had it coming. But keep in mind, your interference could backfire. Again, not all requests will be accepted.
Create An Angle:
Just like it sounds. Wanna work with somebody specific? Ask here and it may just happen. But keep in mind, if you're a rookie and you request an Angle with the NWO World Heavyweight Champion, that just aint gonna happen.
Make A Tag Team:
Do you and another wrestler want to team up and go for the NWO World Tag Team titles? Or just cause some havoc? Request it here and your team will be made.
Make A Stable:
Just like making a tag team. A mimimum of 3 wrestler and a maximum of 7 can be in a stable. The most difficult part of starting a stable? Coming up with the perfect name.
Singles Request:
Got a grudge? Make a request to take it out in the ring. But again, if you are a rookie, you're not getting a shot at the NWO World Heavyweight Champion.
Tag Request:
Do I really need to explain this one?
Time Off:
Going to be out of town and need a week or two off? All we ask is that you let us known. A time off request will never be denied but we do ask that you give us ample warning time if at all possible so that your time off can be written into the storylines.
The purpose of all of the request forms is to make the E-Wrestling experience as exciting as possible for all involved. The Net World Order also has a magazine section to help spice up feuds, preview the upcoming event and even a weekly dirtsheet with all of the rumors that are making the rounds in the NWO.
The Net World Order also offers a help section with out Role Play Help Guide and out HTML Help Guide. In addition to those help guides, we also provide a tutorial for creating your own wrestler.
